Town End Farm Tearooms, Farm Shop & Cottages are located amidst the splendour of the Yorkshire Dales National Park,in Airton near the popular village of Malham. The main attractions here are all created by nature, free of charge and in constant supply – the scenery. Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are two of the most impressive sights in the whole of the Yorkshire Dales and they are within easy walking distance of Town End Farm. Another local attraction, not to be missed whilst you are visiting is Janet's Foss Waterfall.

Malham is found at the southern base of the Yorkshire Dales in the Penines and is a picture-postcard village, with stream trickling through it and an atmosphere that is both charming and friendly.  Malham has been a settlement for at least a thousand years and traces of its Iron Age boundaries are still visible to visitors today; this area is very popular with those who love history.

In the more recent past, Malham was a place of mills and mines where hard work was the order of the day; present times though offer a different pace, a different scene and we find that hill farms and tourism are the main attractions.

Malham Cove
A naturally formed wonder that is incredible to take in, Malham Cove is a limestone rock, cliff formation that, over time has taken on the appearance of a vast, curved amphitheatre. You can carefully navigate this site and at the top will find a large area of limestone pavement...admittedly ‘the top’ is above a vertical face of the cliff is about 260 feet high!

Gordale Scar
Waterfalls pour through the gorge that is Gordale Scar, which is sliced into the limestone hillside. Melting glaciers produced this natural art over a period of 3 million years, so do make a point of visiting this masterpiece.
